Graphite Outlet Sealing

The low coefficient of friction and the self-lubricating properties of graphite make it ideal for application where normal lubricants cannot be used. It also extends the graphite blocks’ lifetime.

Even high temperature application is not a problem for graphite due to its dimensional stability under wide temperature variations and its low coefficient of thermal expansion.

Furthermore, graphite is highly resistant to chemicals, corrosion and oxidation.

Graphite blocks are manufactured in highly specialised workshops using CNC equipment, which ensures high precision tolerance and a smooth surface finish.

Rotary kiln graphite block sealing is square graphite for cement rotary kiln. Rotary kiln graphite block graphite plate has good characteristics such as good electrical conductivity, high temperature resistance, acid resistance, alkali corrosion resistance and easy processing. Graphite is used as sealing and lubricating material in many cement rotary kilns. Rotary kiln graphite block sealing is generally used to seal the kiln head and kiln tail, and can also be used for lubrication between the support wheel and the belt. Graphite blocks have necessary heat resistance and excellent self-lubricating properties, and can well consider the regulations of rotary kiln sealing, so they are more commonly used in rotary kilns.

The inlet and outlet zones with seals are very critical parts of kiln. If false air enters the kiln system, fuel consumption increases, production output decrease and operating expenses go up. Graphite seals require no greasing and are practically maintenance - free under normal operating conditions.

Main advantages:

  • Provide effective leak tightness around the kiln discharge hood to prevent cold air
  • Ingress or release of hot gases and particles,
  • Improve pressure stability in the kiln
  • Allow installation on existing kilns without modifying the kiln shell or kiln inlet
  • Absorption of kiln expansion and slide range
  • No maintenance
